about me
As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator at ING Luxembourg, I support Oracle, MSSQL and Cassandra databases. I am responsible for refreshing, patching, upgrading, backing up, installing, and troubleshooting the databases, using Ansible, Python and Shell scripts to automate and standardize tasks. I'm also experienced with Oracle Active Dataguard, Oracle RAC, RMAN, and GoldenGate, as well as replication management with repmgr in PostgreSQL and working with MongoDB and MySQL databases.
I have a Master's Degree in Physical Geography from University of Coimbra, where I focused on GIS, Remote Sensing, and Climatology. I have published a book based on my master's dissertation ( 
) and various journal articles based on GIS, Remote Sensing, and Climatology. I am proficient in English and Portuguese, fluent in French, Italian and Spanish and basic knowledge in German. I have certifications in ITIL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Azure Data Fundamentals. I am passionate about technologies and I always try to learn the newest technologies available on the market. I love working with Linux, especially Ubuntu, and I enjoy collaborating with diverse and talented teams.
